Kuriyama Mirai from Kyoukai no Kanata,
oh my god i just made the cutest soft brush ever gosh
(you set it to rotate+random rotate and slide the spacing and min.size to an
like maybe it’d feel kinda ridiculous with these squiggles but truth be told random stuff i’ve turned into firealpaca brushes are some of the best of mine so far..almost smallest percent. then just play around with the size a bit)
Named the brush PocketLint hehe
A comic about a dream i had where i was hired to steal bread from a business building. It ended on a slightly hilarious but sour note as i discovered the bread had mold and had to run from a police mob.
I was going to finish it some time later but then forgot what the end looked like.
rose sketch from a meetup.
Work in progress shots of the other copy-assignment pieces. They came out pretty ok in the end so i’m posting those photos next. That last one is a quote from the comic, unfortunately it’s pretty unreadable from the photo, but, it’s still nice to have that behind one of the plates. One of the fun things that happened while making these was that one of the girls doing her final work as ceramics actually recoqnized the characters! It was really fun and un-expected.
The second pot for the flowerpot assignment this semester. It’s got its’ abstract inspiration from metal thimbles. One other assignment we had was making a copy of an existing work(a part of the work or a mix of different non-photo images). I chose the crane from Hanna is Not a Boy’s Name, by Tessa Stone because I wanted to remember the comic in good light. I also had some other copies in the making but couldn’t finish them for the deadline, so, kept to the thimble-pot instead. Hope nobody minds that i’m going to use this as an actual pot haha :)
Some left-over stuff from last semester that i used to test some glazes.
One of the herbpots i did for ceramics class this semester (and the accompanying under-plate). I really like how it came out.
Me and my sister we’re drawing up collabs of sorts, and then this happened. Might continue if i have the steam by next week.
a few sketches from a trip with the new trains. It was april and possibly the first day of warmth in our long long winter and it was incredibly difficult to stay seated in direct sunlight. it started out as a list and then sort of…. grew? so yah i tried making some journalcomicking about this trip but sort of felt like melting by the end of the page…..
Forgot to post this here! Leelo from Adalsysla! google it, it is only the fifth listing when you google ‘veebikoomiks’ or webcomics on estonian google haha
I really loved painting and drawing this! Needed to steam off some daystress so this started happenin’. WAnted to ewoke the sort of feel i get when looking at 18th century estonian paintings. Hope you like!
Sketch doodled before exam, decided to slap some colour on it.
We did intro comics at the Mondo comics workshop and this was mine.
The sassignment was: tell 3 facts about yourself - 2 truths, 1 lie. I forgot we had to do each one on a spread and maybe give the words some space too, but hopefully it was still readable when we did a reading turn :)
Some the comics exercises we did at the Mondo Comics Workshop!
It was really fun being there and i loved having these kind of time restraints with topics because it was just really interesting to see what everyone would come up with in a very short amount of time. Super excited to work on some of the ideas that grew from doing these!
